SET DOT1X INTERFACE
Syntax
SET DOT1X INTERFACE={type:id-range|id-range|ifname-list|ALL} [CON-
TROLDIRECTION={IN|BOTH}] [EAPOLVERSION={1|2}] [REAUTHMAX=1..10]
[TXPERIOD=1..65535] [EAPREQMAX=1..10]
This command is used to set various configurable 802.1X-based Port Authentication set-

tings for the interface(s). Note that when one or of these parameters are set back to
defaults on an interface, authorization on the interface will drop, and any supplicants on
the interface must re-authenticate.
The following table gives the range of values for each option that can be specified with

Description
INTERFACE
The interface(s) over which the DOT1X parameters are
to be set.
CONTROL-
BOTH - Except for authentication packets, traffic is
DIRECTION
blocked in both directions until authentication is com-
plete.
IN - Except for authentication packets, traffic is blocked
in the ingress direction until authentication is complete
EAPOLVER-
The EOPOL protocol version.
SION
1 - IEEE Std 802.1X-2004
2 - IEEE Std 802.1X-2001.
REAUTH-
Number of reauthentication attempts that can occur
MAX
before becoming unauthorized.
TXPERIOD
The period in seconds between successive request ID
attempts.
This parameter is only applicable when EAPOLVERSION
is set to 1
EAPREQ-
Number of EAP requests to send to a supplicant. This

set to 1.
