Introduction
SET RADIUS AUTHMODE (SEC)
Syntax
SET RADIUS [AUTHMODE={LOGIN|COMMAND}] [INTERIMUPDATE={ON|OFF}]
[ACCOUNTINGPERIOD=1..65535]
Used to change the authentication mode for use with RADIUS servers.
Description
The following table gives the range of values for each option that can be specified with

Option
Description
AUTHMODE
LOGIN - The user will be logged in with the privilege
level assigned by the RADIUS server.
COMMAND - The user is always logged in at USER
privilege level and must run the ENABLE {MAN-
AGER|SECURITYOFFICER} command to request
increased privilege. For RADIUS, the privilege level is
determined by examining the Service-Type attribute in
the Access-Accept packet returned by the RADIUS
server. A Service-Type of NAS-Prompt or Login is
equivalent to USER level privilege. A Service-Type of
Administrative equates to MANAGER or SECURITYOF-
FICER privilege.
INTERIMUP-
This command enables periodic accounting reporting to

the RADIUS accounting server(s) wherever RADIUS
accounting has been configured.
ACCOUNT-
Once enabled by the INTERIMUPDATE being set to
INGPERIOD
ON, the period of time (in minutes) in which interim
accounting records are sent.
