1.3.1 Connecting to the SBx3112 - Initial Interface

In the SwitchBlade x3112 Installation Guide, one of the last steps is to "Start a Local Management Session." The
user connects a management cable to the Console RS-232Port on the AT-SBx31CFC Card and then connects
the other end of the cable to an RS-232 port on a terminal or a personal computer with a terminal emulation
program. Once connected and configured, the user can log in to the SBx3112.
Refer to the following figure, which shows the local terminal connected to the CONSOLE port.

1.3.2 How to Log In

The default user id / password for the systems are as follows:
officer/officer
If the default user "officer" or "manager" has its password set to the default value (officer or friend), the follow-
ing login message is displayed:
