REP 3.12 Element Sprocket Nose Replacement

Use this procedure to remove and install the Element Sprocket Nose
Assembly, 7718110.
WARNING
Do not perform repair activities with the power on or electrical power
supplied to the machine. Some machine components contain
dangerous electrical voltages that can result in electrical shock and
possible serious injury. See Section 0, page vi for other languages.
Removal Procedure
1. Switch power OFF to eWire.
2. Disconnect the Power Cord.
3. Open the Front Door and slide out the Element Feeder drawer.
4. Do GP 6.8 to remove the Supply Spool.
5. Loosen the Set Screw and remove the plastic Knob from the Element
Sprocket Shaft.

6. Loosen the Set Screw to allow the Sprocket Feed Shaft to be
removed from the stepper motor.
7. Remove the M4 Screws (3) securing the Sprocket Nose Sub-
Assembly to the Element Feeder
8. Remove the Sprocket Nose Sub-Assembly from the Element Feeder.
