REP 2.25 Anti-Static Brush Replacement

Use this procedure to remove and install the Anti-Static Brush to the
Paper Transport.
Removal Procedure
WARNING
Do not perform repair activities with the power on or electrical power
supplied to the machine. Some machine components contain
dangerous electrical voltages that can result in electrical shock and
possible serious injury. See Section 0, page vi for other languages.
1. Switch power OFF to eWire.
2. Disconnect the Power Cord.
3. Do REP 1.1 Top Cover Replacement
4. Using a straight edge razor, peel up the edge of the Anti-Static Brush
and carefully remove it from the metal surface.
5. Use a cloth and alcohol to remove any adhesive residue from the
surface.
Repairs/Adjustments
to remove the Top Cover.
Installation Procedure
1. Ensure the mounting surface is clean and free of residue. If
necessary, clean the surface with a cloth.
2. Peel the backing away from the new Brush and position it on the
metal surface. Apply pressure along the length of the Brush to adhere
it to the surface.
3. Do REP 1.1 Top Cover Replacement
4. Connect the Power Cord.
5. Power ON the eWire.
