15. Check for continuity between M C M connector
terminals A7, A6 and body g r o u n d , and between
A/C compressor driver 4P connector terminals
No. 2, No. 3 and body g r o u n d individually.

Is there continuity?
Y E S — G o t o step 16.
NO—Repair open in the w i r e between the A/C
compressor driver, the M C M (A7, A6), and the PCM
(D13, D1).
16. Check for T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Is DTC U0164 indicated?
Y E S — G o t o step 17.
N O — G o t o step 20.
17. Reinstall the IPU lid (see page 12-140), then turn the
battery module switch ON (see page 12-4).
18. Update the M C M if it does not have the latest
software, or substitute a k n o w n - g o o d M C M
(see page 12-8).
19. Check for T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated?
YES—If DTC U0100 is indicated, check for poor
connections or loose terminals at the PCM and the
M C M , then go to step 1. If any other T e m p o r a r y
DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated
D T C s troubleshooting.
NO—If the M C M was updated, troubleshooting is
complete. If the M C M was substituted, replace the
original M C M (see page 12-8).a
20. Reinstall the IPU lid (see page 12-140), then turn the
battery module switch ON (see page 12-4).
2 1 . Update the PCM if it does not have the latest
software, or substitute a k n o w n - g o o d PCM
(see page 11-6).
22. Check for T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated?
YES—If DTC U0100 is indicated, check for poor
connections or loose terminals at the PCM and the
M C M , then go to step 1. If any other T e m p o r a r y
DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated
D T C s t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g .
NO—!f the PCM was updated, t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g is
complete. If the PCM was substituted, replace the
original PCM (see page 11-5).
