DTC P0A1B (60, 82, 84): Motor Control
Module (MCM) Internal Circuit Malfunction
1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
2. Check for T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Is DTC P1629 indicated?
Y E S — D o the troubleshooting for DTC P1629
(see page 12-120).
N O — G o t o step 3.
3. Reset the M C M (see page 12-6).
4. Check for T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Is DTC P0A1B indicated?
Y E S — G o to step 5.
NO—Intermittent failure, system is OK at this
t i m e . H
5. Update the M C M if it does not have the latest
software, or substitute a k n o w n - g o o d M C M
(see page 12-8).
6. Check for T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated?
Y E S — I f DTC P0A1B is indicated, check for poor
connections or loose terminals at the M C M , then go
to step 1. If any other T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs are
indicated, go to the indicated D T C s
t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g .
NO—If the M C M w a s updated, t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g is
complete. If the M C M was substituted, replace the
original M C M (see page 12-8). •
