Is there battery voltage?
Y E S — G o t o step 13.
N O — G o t o step 15.
13. Disconnect M C M connector B (24P).
14. Check for continuity between body g r o u n d and
M C M connector terminals B3 and B5 individually.

Is there continuity?
YES—Update the M C M if it does not have the latest
software, or substitute a k n o w n - g o o d M C M , then
recheck (see page 12-8). If the s y m p t o m / i n d i c a t i o n
goes away w i t h a k n o w n - g o o d M C M , replace the
original M C M (see page 1 2 - 8 ) . •
N O -
• Repair open in the w i r e between G652 and the
M C M (B3).
• Repair open in the w i r e between G 9 0 1 , G902 and
the M C M (B5).B
15. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
16. Remove M C M relay 1 (A).
17. Check M C M relay 1 (see page 22-72).
Is the relay OK ?
Y E S — G o t o step 18.
NO—Replace M C M relay 1 . 1
