DTC POACD (54): Battery Module
Temperature Sensor 3 Circuit High Voltage
1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
2. Check the BATT. MDLS TEMP S3 in the DATA LIST
w i t h the HDS.
Is about 4.95 V or more indicated?
YES—Go to step 3.
NO—Intermittent failure, system is OK at this t i m e .
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at
the battery module and the M C M . B
3. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Are DTC P0A9E, P0AC8, and POACD indicated at
the same time?
YES — G o t o step 14.
N O — G o t o step 4.
4. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
5. Turn the battery module switch OFF (see page 12-4).
6. Remove the IPU lid (see page 12-140).
7. Disconnect the battery module 6P connector.
8. Connect battery module 6P connector terminal
No. 3 to body ground with a j u m p e r wire.

9. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
10. Check the BATT. MDLS TEMP S3 in the DATA LIST
w i t h the HDS.
Is about 4.95 V or more indicated?
YES — G o t o step 11.
NO—Replace the battery m o d u l e (see page 12-146),
then go to step 24.
11. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
12. Disconnect M C M connector B (24P).
13. Check for continuity between M C M connector
terminal B9 and battery m o d u l e 6P connector
terminal No. 3.

Is there continuity?
YES — G o t o step 30.
NO—Repair open in the w i r e between the battery
module and the M C M (B9), then go to step 24.
14. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
15. Turn the battery module switch OFF (see page 12-4).
16. Remove the IPU lid (see page 12-140).
