Terminal side of male t e r m i n a l s
Is there continuity?
Y E S — G o to step 11.
NO—Repair open in the w i r e between the DC-DC
converter and the M C M (B19), then go to step 15.
11. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
12. Reset the M C M (see page 12-6).
13. Substitute a k n o w n - g o o d DC-DC converter
(see page 12-143).
14. Check for T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Is DTC U1220 indicated?
Y E S — G o t o step 2 1 .
NO—Replace the original DC-DC converter
(see page 12-143), then go to step 15.
15. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
16. Reconnect all connectors.
17. Reinstall the IPU lid (see page 12-140), then t u r n the
battery m o d u l e switch ON (see page 12-4).
18. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
19. Reset the M C M (see page 12-6).
20. Check for T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated?
Y E S — l f DTC U1220 is indicated, check for poor
connections or loose terminals at the DC-DC
converter and the M C M , then go to step 1. If any
other T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to
the indicated D T C s t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g .
NO—Troubleshooting is c o m p l e t e . •
2 1 . Reinstall the IPU lid (see page 12-140), then turn the
battery module switch ON (see page 12-4).
22. Update the M C M if it does not have the latest
software, or substitute a k n o w n - g o o d M C M
(see page 12-8).
23. Check for T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated?
Y E S — l f DTC U1220 is indicated, check for poor
connections or loose t e r m i n a l s at the DC-DC
converter and the M C M , then go to step 1. If any
other T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to
the indicated D T C s t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g .
NO—If the M C M w a s updated, troubleshooting is
complete. If the M C M was substituted, replace the
original M C M (see page 1 2 - 8 ) . •
