DTC P15AA (93): Motor Rotor Position Not
Learned
1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
2. Reset the M C M (see page 12-6).
3. Start the engine, and let it idle 1 minute.
4. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then turn it ON (II).
5. Check for T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Are any DTC(s)
except
P15AA
indicated?
Y E S — G o to the indicated D T C s troubleshooting.
N O — G o t o step 6.
6. Reset the M C M (see page 12-6).
7. Do the MOTOR ROTOR POSITION CALIBRATION in
the INSPECTION MENU w i t h the HDS.
Does the screen
indicate
COMPLETE?
Y E S — T r o u b l e s h o o t i n g is complete. •
NO—Check for poor connections at the motor rotor
position sensor, motor rotor position rotor, and at
the m o t o r stator. If connections are not OK, replace
the m o t o r rotor postion sensor that had a poor
connection (see page 12-154), then go to step 8.
8. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
9. Reconnect all connectors.
10. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
11. Reset the M C M (see page 12-6).
12. Start the engine, and let it idle 1 minute.
13. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then it ON (II).
14. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Are any Temporary
DTCs
or DTCs
indicated?
Y E S — I f DTC P15AA is indicated, check for poor
connections or loose terminals at the motor rotor
position sensor and the M C M , then go to step 1. If
any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated,
go to the indicated D T C s t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g .
NO—Troubleshooting is c o m p l e t e . •
