Hydraulic Controls
The valve body Includes the main valve body, the regulator valve body, the secondary valve body, and the
accumulator body. The ATF p u m p is driven by splines on the end of the torque converter w h i c h is attached to the
engine t h r o u g h the IMA m o t o r rotor. Fluid f l o w s t h r o u g h the regulator valve to maintain specified pressure t h r o u g h
the main valve body to the manual valve, directing pressure to each of the clutches. The shift solenoid valves A, B, C,
and D are m o u n t e d on the accumulator body. The A/T clutch pressure control solenoid valves A, B, and C are m o u n t e d
on the transmission housing. The auxiliary transmission fluid p u m p (ATFP) is m o u n t e d on the outside of the t o r q u e
converter housing.
