T h r o t t l e B o d y R e m o v a l / I n s t a l l a t i o n
ACAUTION
Do not insert your fingers into the installed throttle body w h e n you turn the ignition switch ON (II) or w h i l e the
ignition switch is ON (II). If y o u do, y o u w i l l seriously injure your finger if the throttle valve is activated.
NOTE: If you are replacing the throttle body, begin at step 1. If y o u are r e m o v i n g the throttle body temporarily, skip
steps 1 to 3, and begin at step 4.
1. Connect the HDS w h i l e the engine is stopped.
2. Select the INSPECTION M E N U w i t h the HDS.
3. Do the TP LEARNING CHECK in the ETCS TEST.
4. Disconnect the MAP sensor connector (A).
5. Remove the intake air duct (B).
6. Disconnect the throttle body connector (C).
7. Disconnect and plug the water bypass hoses (D).
8. Remove the throttle body (E).
9. Install the throttle body in the reverse order of removal w i t h a new gasket (F).
NOTE:
• Do the PCM idle learn procedure after the throttle body is replaced (see page 11-340).
• Refill the radiator w i t h engine coolant (see page 10-6).
