1. Remove the throttle cable cover (A).
2. Check cable free play at the throttle linkage. Cable
free play (A) should be 10—12 m m (3/8—1/2 in.).

3. If the free play is not w i t h i n spec (10 — 12 m m ,
3/8—1/2 in.), loosen the locknut (B), t u r n the
adjusting nut (C) until the free play is as specified,
then retighten the locknut.
4. W i t h the cable properly adjusted, check the throttle
link to be sure it opens fully w h e n y o u push the
accelerator pedal to the floor. Also check the
throttle valve to be sure it returns t o the idle
position w h e n e v e r you release the accelerator
pedal.
