F u e l P r e s s u r e R e g u l a t o r
R e p l a c e m e n t
1. Remove the fuel tank unit (see page 11-366).
2. Remove the holder (A).
3. Remove the fuel pressure regulator (B).
4. Install the regulator in the reverse order of removal
w i t h a new O-ring (C).
NOTE: Coat the O-ring w i t h clean engine oil.
F u e l Filter R e p l a c e m e n t
The fuel filter should be replaced whenever the fuel
pressure drops below the specified value (see page
11-356), after making sure that the fuel p u m p and the
fuel pressure regulator are OK.
1. Remove the fuel tank unit (see page 11-366).
2. Remove the fuel filter set (A).

3l Check these items before installing the fuel tank
unit:
• W h e n connecting the w i r e harness, make sure
the connection is secure and the connectors (B)
are f i r m l y locked into place.
• W h e n installing the fuel gauge sending unit (C),
make sure the connection is secure and the
connector is f i r m l y locked into place. Be careful
not to bend or twist it excessively.
4J. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal
w i t h a new base gasket (D) and new O-rings (E).
W h e n installing the fuel tank unit, align the marks
on the unit and the fuel tank (see page 11-366).
NOTE: Replace the fuel tank unit locknut (A), and
base gasket as a set.
