Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)
Step
1 WHETHER A WHEEL TURNED FREELY OR
NOT.
2 CHECK OUTPUT OF YAW RATE & LATERAL
G SENSOR USING SUBARU SELECT MONI-
TOR.
1) Select {Current Data Display & Save} in the
Subaru Select Monitor.
2) Read the Subaru Select Monitor display.
3 CHECK OUTPUT OF YAW RATE & LATERAL
G SENSOR USING SUBARU SELECT MONI-
TOR.
1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2) Remove the console box.
3) Remove the yaw rate & lateral G sensor
from vehicle. (Do not disconnect the connector.)
4) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
5) Select {Current Data Display & Save} in the
Subaru Select Monitor.
6) Read the Subaru Select Monitor display.
4 CHECK OUTPUT OF YAW RATE & LATERAL
G SENSOR USING SUBARU SELECT MONI-
TOR.
Read the Subaru Select Monitor display.
5 CHECK POOR CONTACT OF CONNECTOR.
Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
6 CHECK ABSCM&H/U.
1) Connect all connectors.
2) Erase the memory.
3) Perform the Inspection Mode.
4) Read the DTC.
7 CHECK OTHER DTC DETECTION.
8 CHECK OPEN CIRCUIT IN YAW RATE &
LATERAL G SENSOR OUTPUT HARNESS
AND GROUND HARNESS.
1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2) Disconnect the connector from the driver's
control center differential control module.
3) Measure the resistance between driver's
control center differential control module termi-
nals.

Have the wheels spun free of
load when the vehicle is lifted
up, or during driving on a rough
road?
Is the reading indicated on
monitor display 1.5 — –1.5 m/

play 6.8 — 12.8 m/s with the
lateral G sensor inclined 90° to
right?
Is the value on the monitor dis-

play –6.8 — –12.8 m/s with the
lateral G sensor inclined 90° to
left?
Is there poor contact of connec-
tor between driver's control
center differential control mod-
ule and yaw rate & lateral G
sensor?
Is the same DTC still output?
Is there any other DTC
detected?
Is the resistance 4.3 — 4.9 kΩ? Go to step 9.
ABS(diag)-77
ABS (DIAGNOSTICS)
Yes No
ABS is normal. Go to step 2.
Erase the memory.
Go to step 3. Go to step 8.
Go to step 4.
Replace the yaw
rate & lateral G
