Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)
ABS (DIAGNOSTICS)
Step
20 CHECK CAUSE OF SIGNAL NOISE.
21 CHECK CAUSE OF SIGNAL NOISE.
22 CHECK ABSCM&H/U.
1) Connect all connectors.
2) Erase the memory.
3) Perform the Inspection Mode.
4) Read the DTC.
23 CHECK OTHER DTC DETECTION.
Check
Is the car telephone or the radio
properly installed?
Is there a noise source (such as
an antenna) installed near the
sensor harness?
Is the same DTC still output?
Is there any other DTC
detected?
ABS(diag)-46
Yes No
Go to step 21. Install the car tele-
phone or radio
properly.
Go to step 22.
Install the noise
source apart from
the sensor har-
ness.
Go to step 23.
Replace the
ABSCM&H/U.

Perform the diag- It results from a
nosis according to temporary noise
DTC. interference.
NOTE:
Though the ABS
warning light re-
mains on at this
time, this is normal.
Drive the vehicle at
12 km/h (7.46
MPH) or more in
order to turn ABS
warning light off.
Be sure to drive the
vehicle and check
that the warning
light goes off.
