FRONT SUSPENSION
9. Jack-up Plate
A: REMOVAL
1) Set the vehicle on a lift.
2) Lift up the vehicle.
3) Remove the under cover. <Ref. to EI-23, RE-
MOVAL, Front Under Cover.>
4) Remove the jack-up plate.
• Non-turbo model
• Turbo model
B: INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Tightening torque:
Jack-up plate to crossmember:
70 N·m (7.1 kgf-m, 52 ft-lb)
Turbo model and STI model
Tightening torque:
Both ends of jack-up plate to crossmember:
30 N·m (3.1 kgf-m, 22 ft-lb)
C: INSPECTION
Check the jack-up plate for wear, damage, or
cracks, and repair or replace it if faulty.
