Accessory Power Sockets
F r o n t A c c e s s o r y P o w e r S o c k e t T e s t / R e p l a c e m e n t
1. Remove the center console holder (see page 20-62)
2. Disconnect the 2P connector f r o m the front
accessory power socket.

3. Inspect the connector terminals to be sure they are
all making good contact.
• If the terminals are bent, loose, or corroded,
repair t h e m as necessary, and recheck the
system.
• If the terminals look OK, go to step 4.
4. Turn the ignition switch to ACC (I), and check for
voltage between the No. 2 t e r m i n a l and body
g r o u n d . There should be battery voltage.
• If there is battery voltage, go to step 5.
• If there is no battery voltage, check for:
- B l o w n No. 9 (15 A) or No. 32 (7.5 A) fuse in the
under-dash fuse/relay box.
- Faulty accessory power socket relay.
- Poor g r o u n d (G501, G601).
- A n open in the w i r e .
5. Check for continuity between the No. 1 terminal
and body g r o u n d . There should be continuity.
• If there is continuity, go to step 6.
• If there is no continuity, check for:
- Poor ground (G503).
- A n open in the wire.
6. Remove the housing (A) and socket (B).
7. Remove the ring (A).
8. Install the power socket in the reverse order of
removal.
