MANUAL VERSION 11.0 – May 2008
Disable Confirmation Tone to Trunks: When a Central Office (CO) trunk call is
transferred to a Call Routing Announcement (CRA) application by Call Processing, a
confirmation tone is played at the beginning of the CRA message. This flag disables the
confirmation tone played at the beginning of a CRA message to a transferred CO trunk
call. By default, this flag is disabled (set to No) and the user hears a confirmation tone.
Display Caller ID Name and Number: Allows you to adjust the display on an end-
point for an incoming CO call to always show caller ID name and number. When this
flag is enabled, the endpoint user will not see the elapsed call timer that shows the dura-
tion of the call. Instead, the outside caller's name appears on the first line and the
caller's number appears on the second line of the endpoint display. See
details.
Drop Incomplete Outgoing Calls: Occasionally, a station user will seize a trunk at the
exact time a call is coming in on that trunk and the user will be connected to the incom-
ing call instead of dial tone. (This is called "glare.") If the Drop Incomplete Outgoing
Calls option is enabled (set to Yes), the resulting call on that trunk will be dropped, as it
would be if the user did not dial a valid telephone number. If the option is disabled (set
to no), the call will remain connected regardless of the number of digits dialed, if any.
In the default state, this is set to Yes.
Enable SL Pulse Detection: Enable this flag to detect pulse tone from single-line
phones that terminate at the system. If this flag is disabled, the system will not be able
to detect digits received from pulse-tone phones. By default, this flag is set to No.
Enable T1/E1/PRI DTMF Dialing: If this flag is enabled, any T1/E1/PRI cards on the
system will be able to use their DTMF dialing capability. If it is disabled, the DTMF
dialing will be performed by the CPC or CPU, as usual.
Handsfree Announce On System Forward Transfer: When a station user transfers a
call to the principal station of a forwarding path, this option determines what the caller
will hear. If enabled (yes), the caller will place a handsfree call to the principal station
and can announce the transfer (the call does not enter the forwarding path). If the option
is disabled, the transferring station user will hear ringing and can announce the call only
if it is answered by the principal station or one of the forwarding points. This defaults to
No.
House Phone Mode: (For single-line house phones only) The House Phone Mode flag
determines whether a single-line House Phone returns dial tone or does not return dial
tone after the called party disconnects. At the System level of programming, all House
Phones may be set in either Normal mode or Restricted mode. At the individual End-
point level of programming, a House Phone must be programmed to dial specific digits
as soon as the handset is taken off-hook. The programmed digits may ring a specific
endpoint or a Hunt Group that rings multiple endpoints.
Normal mode allows the user to enter a feature code or place a call after the automati-
cally called number hangs up. Restricted mode prevents the user from performing any
operation other than placing a House Phone call. The System default state is Normal.
Insufficient Bandwidth Alarm: This flag indicates whether the administrator phone
displays a message when alarm 032 is generated. Alarm 032 is generated whenever the
IP network does not have enough bandwidth to support the IP call that is currently con-
nected to the device. If enabled (set to Yes), SYS ALARM #32 X<ext> INSUF BAND,
where <ext> is the extension number of the affected device, appears on the administra-
tor phone. If disabled (set to No), the phone does not display any information when the
alarm is generated. By default, this flag is enabled.
