Override Language: If this flag is enabled, the Call Routing Announcement applica-
tion will use the application's language (indicated below) for voice prompts. If the flag
is disabled, the calling station's or trunk's programmed language will be used whenever
the application receives a call. By default, this flag is disabled. To enable it, select it to
place a check in the check box. To disable it, select the check box again.
Language: If Override Language is enabled, you can select this drop-down list box to
scroll to the desired language. This field now can be set to any specific language so that
the system can support more than two languages. The language choices are Use Pri-
mary Language, Use Secondary Language, American English, British English, Japa-
nese, or Spanish (Mexico City Spanish Dialect for VPU and EVMC, American Spanish
Dialect for EM).
NOTE:
across nodes unless all the nodes in the system are at least 5.2F6 or newer since the
older systems do not understand specific languages and expect to receive only Primary
Language or Secondary Language values.
4.17 The length of the pauses in the greetings determine the "Timeout" for digit translation.
Short, intermediate, and long pauses can be used in any combination to create a pause of any
desired length. You can combine several recordings and special characters to provide informa-
tion to the caller. For example you could arrange a series as follows:
Recording 005: "Thank you for calling Inter-Tel. All of our agents are busy. To reach
1.
the operator, press 0."
Long Pause (L): This allows the caller to respond to Recording 005, if desired.
2.
Queue system-generated recording (Q): "Your call is X in line."
3.
Time-To-Wait system-generated recording (T): "Your call should be answered within X
4.
minutes."
Recording 006: "Our busiest hours are from 10 am to 1 pm. Our business hours are 8
5.
am to 5 pm."
