Propagate Original Caller ID on Transfer
4.40 When this flag is enabled, if the endpoint is on a call with an outside trunk that had
caller ID information, when a Voice Mail application transfers a call to an endpoint and the
endpoint performs a transfer back to the PSTN, the Voice Mail application will forward the
caller ID. To forward the caller ID to the PSTN, the eventual trunk must be ISDN and the
"Propagate Original Caller ID" flag in its CO trunk group must be set to
this flag is set to Yes (which means forward caller ID on transfer PSTN calls). The Voice Mail
application must be able to perform transfers (for example, Auto Attendant, Auto Attendant
Recalls and Call Routing Announcements). For complete information about Caller ID For-
warding, see

Programming MNR Applications

4.43 A Message Notification/Retrieval (MNR) application is required for message notifica-
tion, Remote Messaging, and Fax-On-Demand. Double-click on the application you want to
program and its programming options appear.
4.44 The MNR application also needs to be programmed for outgoing access in Trunk Group
programming (see
4.45 The Attendant, Audio for Calls Camped onto this Device, Audio for Calls Holding for
this Device, Audio for Calls Ringing this Device, Time Slot Group, Transfer Recall Destina-
tion, ASR Setting, and ASR Enabled fields are programmed exactly as described for the Auto-
mated Attendant on
below.

Programming RAC Applications

4.46 The Record-A-Call (RAC) feature allows a station user to record an ongoing call and
place it in a voice mailbox. When a station user enters the RAC feature code, the system places
a call to the station's assigned RAC application using the station's RAC mailbox. When the
application answers, the system sets up a conference call.
4.47 Keep the following considerations in mind:
RAC has no default day/night recording
If a recording is provided, the user who is using the RAC feature (nor the calling party)
never hears any "warning" message indicating that their call may be recorded.

Programming STAR Applications

4.48 Scheduled Time-Based Application Routing (STAR) allows you to have applications
with alternate greetings and/or different programming set up for holidays, weekends, and other
scheduled events.
