DSS Map: If programming a DSS Unit, there are three DSS maps available. The 8450
DSS map corresponds to the 50-key DSS Unit. The 60-key DSS Keymap 6-row and 12-
row Model options correspond to the 60-key DSS Unit. Use the drop-down box to make
your selection. Then press
gramming an IDS DSS Unit, the only available option is the 48-key DSS Unit. By
default, there are no stations associated with the DSS or IDS DSS keymap. To define
the keymap, you can either manually assign the buttons or use the Populate feature.
To automatically populate the DSS or IDS DSS keymap, right-click the DSS or IDS
DSS Keymap and select
informing you that DB Programming will automatically populate the keymap with the
current system's phones. To do this, the system starts at the lowest phone extension
value and populates every button in ascending order. If there are more DSS buttons than
extensions, any buttons that are not assigned an extension are changed to "Undefined."
If you populate the keymap when there are no extensions available, all buttons are
changed to "Undefined."
To manually populate the keymap, double-click
device. If programming DSS keymap, four "pages" of buttons are available; one for
each device that can be connected to the phone. To see the buttons on a particular page,
select the tab at the top of the page. If programming an IDS DSS keymap, however,
only one page is available.

Populate DSS Keymap
To change a button requiring additional information (feature code, extension num-
ber, etc.), click on the button for which you want to assign a new value. A list win-
dow appears. Select the device type from the drop-down box, and select
Highlight the desired value from the available list, and select
value will appear in the box below the Key Type drop-down box.
To change all other buttons, use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move around
the keymap. After you have selected the desired button (selected buttons will have
a line with an "x" in the center, click on
