SIP UDP Listening Port Enable
7.11 The SIP UDP Listening Port Enable flag is set to Yes by default. This port configures
the receive call control communication path from external SIP gateways to the Axxess system.
The transmit call control communication path resides in the SIP gateway programming. If your
site is on the public Internet and you are not using SIP, you can disable the SIP UDP Listening
Port Enable flag by selecting the current Value and removing the check mark from the check
box. When you disable this flag, the SIP UDP Listening Port field is disabled and cannot be
programmed. If you change the SIP UDP Listening Port Enable flag, the change does not take
effect until the next system reset.
SIP UDP Listening Port
7.12 By default, the port number for the SIP UDP Listening Port is 5060 and the SIP UDP
Listening Port Enable flag is set to Yes. If the site has a conflict with port 5060, the port num-
ber can be changed. The valid range of port numbers are 1000 through 65468. If the SIP UDP
Listening Port Enable flag is set to No, the SIP UDP Listening Port is no longer programma-
ble. If you change the port number for the SIP UDP Listening Port, the change does not take
effect until the next system reset.
System NAT IP Address
7.13 The System NAT IP Address field provides the ability to put a SIP gateway behind a
NAT. Enter the NAT (public) IP address that the system has on the NAT side of the firewall. To
correctly inform the gateway where the SIP messages are originating from, you must also pro-
gram the SIP Gateway Name field (see
ming information, see NAT Traversal for IP Endpoints on
