11.8 If you have numbers, such as unused DID [DDI in Europe] numbers, that you do not
want callers to use, you can program them to ring in to an extension number that returns busy
signal. To do this, locate a phone that does not have an attached MDPM. Then program that
phone's circuit as a phone with an MDPM to create a "phantom" MDPM extension (see Keyset
Card Configuration on
circuit with the "DID/E&M [DDI in Europe] Receive Busy Instead Of Camp-On" flag to cause
it to always send busy signal (the system will consider it permanently off hook because no
equipment is installed on the circuit). When creating the Call Routing Table for the trunk
group, program the selected numbers to ring in to the MDPM that returns busy signal.

Programming Call Routing Tables

11.9 When you select Trunk-Related Programming, only the Call Routing Tables option
appears in the right screen. When you double-click on
call routing tables 1-15. At this level you can change the Description or Call Routing Key.
11.10 When you select a specific Call routing Table, the Patterns option appears. To program
the patterns for the call routing table, double-click
appears.
11.11 To delete a pattern: Highlight the pattern to be deleted and right-click. Then select
Remove Selected Items
11.12 To add a single pattern: To create a single pattern, right-click anywhere in the right
screen and select

11.13 To copy and paste one or more patterns: Highlight and right-click the pattern you
want to copy. The Copy Patterns dialog box opens showing the Current CRT. Select the Desti-
nation CRT using the drop-down list box. Click

11.14 Batch Create Patterns: Right-click anywhere in the right screen and select the Batch
Create Patterns option. In the first screen you must indicate whether you are creating Area
Code or DID [DDI in Europe] patterns by selecting the appropriate option button. Then select

Description: To change the description of the call routing table, select its current Value
and enter the new description in the text box. Then press

Call Routing Key: This field determines which information the call routing table will
use to direct the call. If you select Trunk number, the system will look for the dialed
number provided by DID [DDI in Europe] or DNIS. If you choose
, the system checks for the ANI or Caller ID [CLIP] information that identifies the

source of the call. Select the desired call routing button by selecting the desired option
button. To change the Call Routing Key, select the current Value and scroll to the

Area Code Patterns (U.S. only):
Pattern Name: Enter the desired name in the Pattern Name text box. This name
will be used for all area code patterns created using this batch command. The
name field determines how calls will be identified at display phones. The name
can be a word or number that identifies the call source. You can use any combina-
tion of letters and numbers.
