6. CONSTANT BIT RATE (CBR) FOR THE ATM SWITCH

6.1 If using an ASX-200BX ATM switch and the Slave LED on a slave PCMA card is
blinking irregularly, you may have to set the constant bit rate (CBR) to roundrobin instead of
guaranteed. This ensures the bit rate does not change and that the master/slave clocks can
remain in sync.

To configure the CBR:
Establish a terminal session on the serial port and access the root menu (see steps 1-5

For each interface (module) installed, type the following command:

modify -atmif 1XY -servcat CBR -schedmode roundrobin
Where 1XY indicates the interface number (1a1, 1a2, 1a3, etc.).
A message appears that informs you that the change requires a reset. Type Y and press
