Analog Keyset Card Configuration

3.54 When multiple purposes are assigned to one AKSC port, the circuit numbers are
assigned as follows:
3.55 When an AKSC port is changed from single purpose (Keyset) to multiple purpose
(Keyset with DPM or Dual-Circuit Keyset), the database will retain all programming for the
original single port and it will create the new additional station, with default values, in all other
applicable areas of programming. The original single port will retain its extension number; the
new ports will have extension numbers assigned as you exit from this programming area.
3.56 If the port is changed from a Dual-Circuit Keyset function to a single Keyset, the
XX.XX.01 circuit programming is preserved and the XX.XX.02 circuit programming is erased
from the database.
3.57 The circuit type options are as follows:

MANUAL VERSION 11.0 – May 2008
AKSC card ports support the following devices:
8-, 12-, and 24-Line AIM Analog Phones
8-, 12-, and 24-Line DVK Analog Phones
12-, and 24-Line GMX Analog Phones
8-, 12-, and 24-Line IMX Analog Phones (including Dual-Circuit Phones)
Data Port Modules (DPMs) connected to Analog Phones. An analog DPM can be used
for connecting a data device or a loud-ringing adapter to the phone.
Keyset with DPM: The phone is XX.XX.01 and the DPM is XX.XX.02
Dual-Circuit Keysets: The first phone (on the "A" side) is XX.XX.01 and the second
phone (on the "B" side) is XX.XX.02
None: To disable the port, select
Keyset: This option is selected if the port will be used for installing a single analog
phone that will not have an DPM connection. The phone connected to this circuit will
have primary and secondary voice paths, allowing use of Off-Hook Voice Announce
(OHVA) feature. If you want to see the programming for this phone (as performed in

Keyset/DPM: If the port will support a single analog phone that is equipped with an
DPM, select this option. The device connected to the DPM shares the secondary voice
path of the attached phone. The DPM circuit number appears in the Circuit 2 column. If
you want to see the programming for this port (as performed in Devices and Feature
Code programming, described on
NOTE:
The system does not send ring voltage to the device connected to the DPM; it
sends a signal to the DPM which, in turn, causes the device to ring.
Dual-Circuit Keysets: Dual-circuit analog phones can be installed on the AKSC port.
Each phone has one voice path. They cannot use the OHVA feature or have attached
DPMs. The circuit numbers for the phones appear in the Circuit 1 and Circuit 2 col-
umns. If you want to see the programming for this port (as performed in Devices and
Feature Code programming, described on
