Off-Node Devices
6.23 There are two methods for programming off-node devices, as described on
The automatic broadcast method works only for newly created stations. Any extensions that
existed before the nodes began communicating must be exported (or imported) to other nodes
using the Export/Import button in DB Programming or programmed as "off-node devices"
manually at each of the other nodes.

In Cabinets, program the card slots and then program B-channels and extension num-
bers for the circuits.
Select the card to program. Then set the ISDN Switch Type to Private Network. This
will automatically place the trunks on this card in a node trunk group.
Set the Remote Node Number to the node where the T1 span will be connected. (This
span can also be used to route calls to other nodes, through the remote node, if the
remote node is properly programmed.)
NOTE:
If using an IP or frame relay device, such as the IP Networking Module, the
Remote Node Number can be set to any valid node number. The device will use this
field for identification purposes only.
In System\Devices and Feature Codes\Node Trunk Groups, select the node trunk group.
Name the node trunk group, set outgoing access assignments.
Repeat for the remaining node trunk groups.
In System\Devices and Feature Codes\Nodes, select the remote node.
Select Node Trunk Groups and add the node trunk groups.
Program the Search Algorithm.
Repeat for each node.
