INTER-TEL
AXXESS
MANUAL VERSION 11.0 – May 2008
16.7 Freezes cannot be "retrieved" in the normal sense. History retrieval on a non-CP Server
System must be done through DB Programming as the actual history information is stored in
memory chips on the CPU card. On a CP Server system, the histories are files on a hard drive.
These files can be viewed directly, while still on the PC. Or, they can be copied or moved to
another media.
16.8 Because a full freeze can be large (20+ MB by default), WinZip software comes pre-
installed on all CP Server PCs. Freezes, all or part of, can be zipped up and copied to floppy
disks if needed. WinZip allows zip files to span multiple floppy disks.
16.9 If the CP Server PC is attached to a LAN/WAN and you have access to the LAN, files
can be copied from another computer on the LAN. An understanding of Windows and net-
working are required for this.
16.10 Each CP Server PC comes with pcAnywhere 10.5 pre-installed. This makes it possible
to access the PC remotely. An internal modem is also installed by default. This allows access
to the PC over modem or LAN. After connected to the CP Server PC via pcAnywhere, WinZip
can be used to compress the required files and pcAnywhere's File Transfer option to transfer
the Zip file to your local PC. (A full freeze of 20+ MB compresses down to about 4 MB).
