7.2
The IP-Related Information field also contains the Call Configurations field. This field
defines the settings that IP phones and SLAs, SIP endpoints, and MGCP gateways and end-
points will use when connected to a call. After programmed, you assign each device a specific
Call Configuration. This allows you to program one call configuration for multiple devices.
7.3
By default, all IP devices are placed in Call Configuration 1, which is programmable. If
desired, you can program up to 25 different Call Configurations (250 if using a CPS1024 or
ATM System).
NOTE:
nicate using P2P. When the system detects that the IP devices have different settings, it uses
the setting that consumes the least amount of bandwidth.

Audio Frames/IP Packet: Enter the number of audio frames the system inserts into
each packet. The lower this value, the less latency in the signal, but the higher the band-
width consumption, which increases the chance of jitter and network congestion. The

default is 3 packets.
Average In Time Frame Percentage Threshold and Average In Time Frame Timer:
Indicate when network characteristics inhibit voice connections. When the average
number of In Time frames falls below the Average In Time Frame Percentage Thresh-
old, and the average number of In Time frames stays below that threshold for the time
given by the Average In Time Frame Timer (in seconds), the system displays a warning
about insufficient bandwidth. To change the percentage, click the current Value and use
the scroll box to select the new value. Then press
the change. The range for Average In Time Frame Percentage Threshold is 0-100%, and
the default is 60%. The range for Average In Time Frame Timer is 0-255 seconds, and
the default is 5 seconds.
