1. INTRODUCTION

With the Call Processing (CP) Server, call processing software has been moved from
the telephone system (System) CPU Card to a Windows NT- or 2000-based server that commu-
nicates with the System via a 10 Base-T Ethernet connection.

The PC and equipment chassis are connected directly via a cross-connect Ethernet cable
and use the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) to transfer data across a direct connection.

As of version 6.0, the following features are available:

mended certification and need technical support, you are automatically charged a Technical
Support Incident (TSI) credit.
Technical Support for the upgrade is available to those who have purchased an upgrade kit
(upgrade kit part no. 828.1754 for non-ATM systems and 828.1755 for ATM systems). If you
use Windows software from a source other than from an upgrade kit, Inter-Tel support is not
available.

part numbers can be upgraded:

Verify that the CPS platform consists of the following hardware. If it does not consist of
the following hardware, it is not the correct revision and cannot be upgraded:

You cannot upgrade a CPS platform that is earlier than the Rev AR identified above.
You need to purchase a new CPS if you want to upgrade to v11.0. Contact Inter-Tel for details.
