Symptom
With the diagnostics mode
enabled, the administrator
cannot access the dump from
his or her endpoint. The
administrator sees "Invalid
Extension Number."
The administrator station is
not displaying Alarm 128.
Alarm 128 displays on an
administrator's endpoint.
Message Print output indi-
cates that a SIP phone exten-
sion is invalid or incomplete.

enabled the diagnostics
mode.
The user has not entered
the correct digits.
The node does not support
the new diagnostics com-
mand.
The Audio Diagnostics Sup-
pression System Flag is
enabled.
A user completed the Audio
Diagnostics feature.
The SIP phone is calling its
own number or a number
that is programmed but not
networked.

Corrective Action
Make sure the administrator has enabled the diag-
nostics mode (9900 in the U.S. and 9100 in the
U.K.).
Verify the correct diagnostics code is used (9933
for the U.S., 9133 for U.K.). Also, verify that the
correct digits are used for the dump.
Verify that the system is running v9.0 Call Process-
ing software or greater.
Disable the Audio Diagnostics Suppression flag
(under System\Flags).
Collect the Freeze which contains Message Print
entry and other diagnostics data to submit to Tech-
nical Support for analysis.
Verify the cause but do nothing to attempt to fix the
condition. The cause of the printout is the SIP
server performing its normal cycle of events.
