Ensure the headset contains the appropriate micro-
phone (dynamic or electret). Replace headset if
necessary.

Some headsets have a battery saving feature that
turns the headset off after a certain period of inac-
tivity. To prevent these headsets from missing por-
tions of incoming calls, the station flag can be
programmed to generate a "Send Alert Burst To
Headset" that activates the headset before con-
necting to an incoming call. See PROGRAMMING,
page
6-209. Or, if necessary, disable the feature
and/or replace the batteries with a transformer.

phone, or a carbon microphone and an external AC
power source. Replace headset if necessary.

code was changed. At the phone, unplug the head-
set or handset (to take the AgentSet off hook) and

cording to the manufacturer's instructions.
