11. SMDR BUFFER

NOTE:
11.1 The Voice Processor will buffer SMDR records from the local node and records that are
sent from other nodes in the network. The following information can be programmed for the
Voice Processor SMDR Buffering application.
11.2 Clear The SMDR Buffer: (Not available in stand-alone programming sessions.) Dur-
ing a direct-connect or remote programming session, you can clear the data in the SMDR
buffer. To clear the buffer, right-click on

SMDR Buffer Size: To determine how much of the Voice Processing PC disk space
will be devoted to SMDR buffering, select the current value and enter or scroll to the
desired number of megabytes (0-20). Then press

If you attempt to set the buffer size to a value higher than your available disk
space, you will receive a warning message that says, "The Voice Processing PC
did not have enough disk space to set the buffer size to XXX megabytes. The cur-
rent buffer size is now 0 megabytes. Note: If there was data in the buffer, the data
is still intact."; select

will be cleared and asks if you want to continue. Select

SMDR Buffer Box Bit Rate: To determine the rate of output from the buffer box port
(COM2), select this drop-down list box. The available rates are 300, 1200, 2400, 4800,
9600, and 19200. Then press

selected.) To enable the SMDR Buffering option, select the check box to place a check
mark in it. Then press
