9.7
The AMIS IC System Number is the extension number of the associated Call Routing
Announcement application. The Voice Processor uses this number to identify itself when it
calls other AMIS voice mail systems over the private network, either through the B-channels
or ordinary T1 or E1 circuits. It is also the number that the remote AMIS systems will use to
call the local Voice Processor. This field need not be programmed before the local Voice Pro-
cessor can make outgoing AMIS calls. However, the remote AMIS system should be able to
return calls to the local Voice Processor.

9.9
The AMIS CO System Number is the telephone number the Voice Processor uses to
identify itself when it calls other AMIS voice mail systems over the public telephone network.
This is also the telephone number that the remote AMIS systems will use to call the local Voice
Processor. Therefore, this number must ring directly into the Call Routing Announcement that
is programmed to accept AMIS calls.
9.10 This number should contain a toll field, area code (U.S. only), and local telephone num-
ber. If it does not contain all three, the remote AMIS system may not be able to return calls to
the local Voice Processor. An example of the AMIS CO System Number could be
1#602#9619000# [or 011 62#903000# in Europe]. The delimiter, represented by the #, is
required to separate the country code, area code, and local telephone number, and must always
be present. The delimiter must follow each component of the number.

AMIS calls. However, you should program it so that the remote AMIS system can return calls
to the local Voice Processor. To enter the CO System Number, click on its current Value and
enter the new value in the text box. Then press
