7. NETWORK OPERATION OF SYSTEM FEATURES
7.1
When the phone system is programmed for use in a network the following features are
affected:
Administrator Feature Codes: Administrator stations are explained in detail on
26
209
administrator feature codes apply in network settings:
Administrator DB Programming: The administrator can change extensions and user-
names of only those users residing on the same node as the administrator. The network
prohibits the administrator from programming an extension conflict. The network auto-
matically broadcasts changes to extensions and/or usernames made by an administrator
to the other nodes in the network. (See
nation of DB Programming using an administrator's phone.)
Attendant Stations: An attendant does not need to reside on the same node as the sta-
tions it serves. (See
Node Attendants: There can be a primary attendant for each node. (See
detailed description of attendant stations.)

Clear Network Alarm: Administrators who receive network-wide alarms can
clear them. The default feature code for the clear network alarm feature is 9851.
(See

for more information on network alarms and
cedures.)
Enable Network Night or Day Mode: Administrators can place any or all remote
nodes into night mode or day mode. The default feature code for Enable Network

NOTE:
The Night Ring On/Off feature code (9860) affects only the node on which
the administrator resides. (See
Set Network Date And Time: Administrators can synchronize the time of day,
date, and day of week across the network. The default feature code for the syn-
chronize network time of day feature is 9810. Note that administrators can still set
the time of day, date, and day of week on their local node. (See
procedures.)
Synchronize Network Time: Administrators can synchronize the minutes past
the hour across the network without changing the hour. This is useful when the
nodes are in different time zones. The default feature code for the synchronize net-
work minutes past the hour is 9811.
NOTE:
If a node's time is off by more than 30 minutes, synchronizing the minutes
may cause the hour to change. Also, network time is automatically synchronized
every day at 12:30 AM (00:30), using the time setting on the node with the lowest
number. (See
page 5-276
for procedures.)
Network Freeze/Unfreeze Zone: Administrators can perform a history freeze or
unfreeze on any freeze zone. The default feature code for Network Freeze is 9939
[9139 in Europe] and Network Unfreeze is 9989 [9189]. (See
