When power is turned on, the
Voice Processing PC beeps
once (for two seconds) and
does not boot up properly.

NOTE:
If the corrective actions listed above do not solve the problem, connect a
monitor and keyboard to see which AIC driver error is being generated, as listed
below, and then contact Technical Support.

Ensure that the AIC DIP switches and jumper
straps are set in the proper positions. See

Ensure that all VPCs have their jumper straps set
in the proper positions. See

The PC should be used for Voice Processing appli-
cations only. If necessary, delete any unneeded
peripheral software and re-install the Voice Pro-
cessing applications software as outlined in
INSTALLATION on
page
3-226.
Refer to the diagnostic materials generally included
in a plastic sleeve attached to the inside of the
chassis cover.
Replace the defective card(s) or the PC.
Meaning
No AIC address specified.
Invalid AIC address specified. Valid
addresses fall in the range from 200
through 3F8.
The driver did not find an AIC at address
<card address>.
The driver was unable to initialize AIC.
This problem may indicate an I/O address
conflict or a problem with the AIC.
The system must be programmed with the Mes-
sage Notification/Retrieval application in order to
allow voice mail message notification and quick
mailbox access. See PROGRAMMING,
369.
To adjust the volume level for all of the voice chan-
nels used by the Voice Processing PC, see PRO-
GRAMMING,

Check the AIC-to-CPU/OPC cabling.
Ensure that all VPCs have their jumper straps set
