ATM-BCH (ATM B-Channel Trunk)
ISDN Test Call Test (#258)
This non-destructive test performs a far-end looparound test over an ATM-BCH
trunk if
the trunk is IN-SERVICE, MAINTENANCE/NEAR-END, or
OUT-OF-SERVICE/NEAR-END
no calls are active on the trunk
the system uses country protocol 1 (including US) or the far-end has
looparound capability
The test sets up a call to a far-end switch over the ATM-BCH trunk. The digital
port on a TN711D Maintenance/Test circuit pack sends a bit pattern to the far-end
and back. If the received pattern matches that sent, the test passes. If there are
differences, it fails.
Synchronous Test Calls
You can initiate a synchronous outgoing test call (including a test call for
ISDN-PRI trunks) with these commands:
test trunk grp#/mbr# long [repeat #]
test board UUCSS long [repeat #]
test port UUCSSpp long [repeat #]
