Monitoring of the GCB synchronization is carried out according to the fol‐
lowing parameters.
Off
Monitoring is disabled.

If it was not possible to synchronize the GCB within the time configured here,
an alarm will be issued.

The message "GCB syn. timeout" is issued and the logical command variable
"08.30" will be enabled.

Class A/B/C/D/
Each limit may be assigned an independent alarm class that specifies what
E/F
action should be taken when the limit is surpassed.

The control unit automatically clears the alarm if the fault condition is no
longer detected.

The control unit does not automatically reset the alarm when the fault condi‐
tion is no longer detected.
The alarm must be acknowledged and reset by manually pressing the appro‐
priate buttons or by activating the LogicsManager output "External acknowl‐
edgement" (via a discrete input or via an interface).

If load-dependent start/stop (refer to
Ä Chapter 4.5.11.1 "Load Dependent Start Stop
(LDSS)" on page 248 ) is enabled, this monitoring
function must be configured with a shutdown alarm
class (C, D, E, or F) or disable load-dependent start/
stop if triggered to ensure that the next engine will be
started.
