Action
Remove the protection plug.
Note
Keep the protection plug. It shall be refitted
when the work is done.
Go to the user instructions enclosed with the press tool to re-
move the parallel rod shaft.
Press tools, parallel rod shaft: 3HAC071354-001
User instructions, parallel rod shaft press tools: 3HAC071354-

Handling the tool incorrectly may cause serious injury.
Read and follow enclosed user instructions for the tool.
Action
Make sure the thrust washer and cover
washer on either side of the bearing are
present.
Tip
Make a note on which side the respective
washer is fitted, for a correct assembly
later.
