Features Description
Attendant Busy Override
Description
This option
allows the attendant
who encounters
a busy connection,
to
override
the connection
and enter the call; see Override
(Intrude).
Conditions
The following
conditions
apply to this feature:

This applies to override
of trunk calls through
the Attendant
Direct
Trunk Select feature.

Programming
Enable COS Option 500 (Override)
for the console.
Operation
Having reached
a busy number:
l
Press and hold down the console
OVERRIDE
softkey
- all parties in the connection
hear a warning
tone and the Attendant
is connected
to the call.
9 Release
the OVERRIDE
softkey
- the Attendant
is released
from the call.
Note:
If the call cannot be overridden,
re-order tone is returned, and the console
LCD displays "CANT".
Attendant Call Announce
Description
This feature
allows the Attendant
to make an announcement
through
a
SUPERSET
telephone's
Call Announce
Port; see Call Announce.
a
Optionally,
the Attendant
may override
to a SUPERSET
telephone
Call
Announce
Port rather than intruding
into the call; see Override Announce.
Conditions
None.
Programming
None.
Operation
The Console
accesses
the SUPERSET
4 telephone
by placing an Abbre-
viated
Dial call to its Call Announce
port. The SiJPERSET4
telephone
is
connected
to the Console,
and conversation
takes place between
the
Console
and the Call Announce
port of the SUPERSET
4 telephone.
