NOTICE:
At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following
item.
Distinguish the No. 3 synchronizer ring (for the 5th gear) by
the teeth on the synchronizer ring.

Using SST, remove the 5th driven gear.

At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.
Using SST and a hammer, drive in the 5th driven gear.

Remove the 5 bolts and rear bearing retainer.

Using a snap ring expander, remove the 2 snap rings.
HINT:
If it is difficult to remove and install the snap rings, pull up the
shafts.

Remove the No. 3 synchronizer ring (for the 5th gear) and
5th gear from the input shaft.
Using 2 screwdrivers and a hammer, tap out the snap
ring.
Remove the needle roller bearing and 2 spacers.
REMOVE 5TH DRIVEN GEAR
SST 09950−30012 (09951−03010, 09953−03010,
09954−03010, 09955−03021)
SST 09612−22011
REMOVE REAR BEARING RETAINER
Sealant:
Part No. 08833−00080, THREE BOND 1344, LOCTITE
242 or equivalent
Torque: 27 N·m (280 kgf·cm, 20 ft·lbf)
REMOVE BEARING SNAP RING
