Uniformly loosen and remove the 19 bearing cap bolts, in sever-
al passes, in the sequence shown, and remove the 9 bearing
caps, intake and exhaust camshafts.

Uniformly loosen and remove the 20 bearing cap bolts, in sever-
al passes, in the sequence shown, and remove the 9 bearing
caps intake and exhaust camshaft.

− CYLINDER HEAD
2ZZ−GE:
REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD
Disconnect the EVAP hose for ORVR.
Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 ventilation pipe
and oil dipstick and guide.
Remove the 2 bolts, nut and stay.
Remove the 4 bolts, 2 nuts, intake manifold and gasket.
Remove the intake manifold insulator.
REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
REMOVE ECT SENSOR
REMOVE PCV VALVE AND GROMMET
REMOVE OIL FILLER CAP
REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING SPROCKETS
