INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT:
When using the hand−held tester, start the inspection from step 1. Otherwise, start from step 2.
1 Check stop light switch using hand−held tester.
PREPARATION:
(a) Connect the hand−held tester to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON and push the hand−held tester main switch ON.
CHECK:
Select the item "STOP LIGHT SW" in the DATA LIST and read the displayed value.
OK:
Brake pedal depressed: ON
Brake pedal released: OFF
NG
2 Check operation of stop light.
CHECK:
Check that the stop light comes on when the brake pedal is depressed, and turns off when the brake pedal
is released.
OK
