EMISSION CONTROL
INSPECTION
1. INSPECT AIR SWITCHING VALVE
Vacuum
(a) Apply vacuum (28 kPa (286 gf/cm
blow air into port B and check that air is discharged from
port C.
If operation is not as specified, replace the air switching valve.

2. INSPECT AIR PUMP RELAY
(a) Using an ohmmeter, check the continuity between each
terminals.
Terminal No.
1 ↔ 2
3 ↔ 4
(b) Check that there is the continuity between the terminal 3
and the 4 when battery voltage applyed between the ter-

minal 1 and terminal 2.
If operation is not as specified, replace the air pump relay.
