− CYLINDER HEAD
2ZZ−GE:
Install and uniformly tighten the 20 bearing cap bolts.
After tightening the No. 1 camshaft bearing cap, tighten
them in several passes, in the sequence shown.
Torque: 19 N·m (194 kgf·cm, 14 ft·lbf)
CHECK AND ADJUST VALVE CLEARANCE (See page

INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING SPROCKETS AND
VALVE TIMING CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY (See page

INSTALL OIL FILTER CAP
INSTALL GROMMET AND PCV VALVE
INSTALL ECT SENSOR (See page SF−67)
INSTALL CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (See page
IG−10)
1ZZ−FE:
INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD
Install a new gasket, 2 wire harness stays and the intake
manifold with the 4 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque: 30 N·m (306 kgf·cm, 22 ft·lbf)
Connect the brake booster vacuum hose.
Connect the EVAP hose for ORVR.
2ZZ−GE:
INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD
Install the intake manifold insulator to the cylinder block.
Install a new gasket and the intake manifold with the 4
bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque:
A: 34 N·m (347 kgf·cm, 27 ft·lbf)
B: 46 N·m (469 kgf·cm, 34 ft·lbf)
Install the stay with the 2 bolts and nut.
Torque: 24 N·m (245 kgf·cm, 18 ft·lbf)
Install the No.1 ventilation pipe, oil dipstick and guide with
the bolt.
Torque: 24 N·m (245 kgf·cm, 18 ft·lbf)
Connect the brake booster vacuum hose.
Connect the EVAP hose for ORVR.
