This section shows the maximum number of MG-BRIs to be accommodated when two lines are accommo-
Note 1:
dated to MG-BRI, the amount shown here will be doubled when only one line is accommodated to a MG-
BRI.
The maximum number of channels to be controlled simultaneously here will be the same as the amount of

line capacity of each system. Other equipment cannot be used when maximum number of channels are oc-
cupied by the MG-BRI.
7.
Assign ASYDL, SYS1, INDEX880, Bit 1 = 1 (Internal PHI-PRI/BRI is enabled) when Internal PHI-BRI
is used. Assign both ASYDL, SYS1, INDEX880, Bit 1 = 1 (Internal PHI-PRI/BRI is enabled) and
ASYDL, SYS1, INDEX885, Bit 7 = 1 (SP Implementation) when SP-PHI is used.
When the setting of ASYDL, SYS1, INDEX880, Bit 1 (Internal PHI-PRI/BRI) is modified, initialize the
Internal PHI-BRI module with the ADPM command.
8.
ISDN line to be connected will be Point to Multi-Point connection. Length of call reference value (in
octets) will be 1 byte and Dch cannot be shared.
9.
Voice communication and unrestricted digital communication is available. MG-BRI only supports the
64kbps for unrestricted digital communication.
Data communication more than 128kbps, H0 exchange, Dch packet and Bch packet are not supported.
10. When FAX communication is to be operated through the Media Gateway (MG), setting shown below is
required for ARTI and ARTIN command. For selection of FAX payload, assignment needs to be consid-
ered with the MG equipment setting. Refer to the Command Manual for further details for command set-
ting.
CDN71: FXD (FAX data enable) [0/1:Disable/Enable]
CDN72: FXJS (Jitter Buffer Size for FAX) [0-30]
CDN73: FXPT (Payload Type for FAX) [0-6]
CDN74: FXPS (Payload Size for FAX) [0-4]
This parameter will be displayed only when G.711 or is G.726 was chosen for [CDN73: FXPT].
Note:
11. Connection via Network Address Translation (NAT)/IP Masquerade and Internet connection (including
the dial-up connection) is not supported.
12. Available interface is only Q.931 and connection to public ISDN network is available.
MG-BRI cannot accommodate ISDN terminal.
MG-BRI cannot be used with Tie-line connection.
13. The fault detection for ISDN line will be operated as same as the ordinary ISDN lines (both Layer 1 and
Layer 2). Call origination/termination will be unavailable when MG-BRI is in faulty condition.
14. Internal PHI-BRI and MG-BRI is connected by UDP/IP. Therefore, connection routine diagnosis is per-
formed by Proprietary Protocol method.
System Message [33-R: IPPAD warning] will be output when fault was detected.
15. System Message [33-R: IPPAD warning] will also be outputted when communication fault was detected
while sending the control packet. System Message will be sent when "control packet sending timer" was
timed-out for eight times continuity.
The value of "control packet sending timer" can be changed by System Data (ASYDL SYS1 Index884
