Chan Port
Displays when the
24 channels; if you specified E1, it displays 31 channels.
You must fill this screen in for ATM signaling groups. This provides two things:
It allows you to define fractional T1 and fractional E1 facilities, specifying how many and which
channels to use.
It allows you to choose the port numbers to use (port numbers must be unique for all signaling
groups on the same ATM board).
The signaling channel (port 16 for an E1 and port 24 for a T1) must be a port between 9 and 32. Any port
number used on this screen may not be used on any other ATM signaling group on the same board.
The channels used must match exactly the channels used on the other end of the signaling group. For
example, if your T1 is set up to use channels 1 through 5, 7, and 24 (the signaling channel), the far end
must use channels 1 through 5, 7, and 24.
