Data terminals and personal computers
An intelligent data terminal or a personal computer (PC) attached to a DLC can either originate or
terminate a data call. A single ADU at the site of the originating device extends the distance signals can
travel to the switch (the model ADU depends on the terminal connector). An analog telephone can be
attached to this arrangement whenever an ADU uses the standard building wiring.
