Posted Messages
The Posted Messages feature allows users to provide callers with a displayable message offering a reason
they are not available. This helps organization members work together more efficiently. The system
provides 30 messages to choose from, 15 of which are fixed (system messages) and 15 adminstrable
(custom messages).
Detailed description
The system messages will be automatically sent to other systems through QSIG by sending out the
corresponding message numbers, if QSIG functionality is supported on the system. The custom
messages, on the other hand, are specific to the local system. Administration of these messages is
required before use. These custom messages can also be sent to other systems through QSIG by sending
out the corresponding message numbers if the administrator chooses to do so (by ensuring that the "QSIG
VALU" option is set to y on the
Messages Through QSIG?" option to y on page 7 of the
setting the "QSIG Value-Added fields" to y on the
applicable QSIG tie trunk group).
The 15 system messages (fixed) are as follows:
In Meeting
Out To Lunch
Away From Desk
Do Not Disturb
Out All Day
On Vacation
Gone For The Day
Out Sick
On Business Trip
With Client
Working From Home
